Getting Started
Creating Your Account
To get started with Complete Shop Manager, visit the registration page and fill in your first name, last name, email address, and a password of at least eight characters. You will be asked to confirm the password before submitting.
Your email address is your login credential and must be unique on the platform — no two accounts can share the same address. After registering, your new account starts on the free Standard tier. You can explore every area of the app right away.
Logging In and Out
Go to the CSM login page and enter your email address and password. CSM works entirely in a browser — there is nothing to install. Once you are in, your session stays active until you log out or close your browser.
To log out, click the logout link in the sidebar or navigation. Staff members your shop creates each have their own login — see the Staff & Roles section for how to set those up.
Setting Up Your Shop
After your first login, head to Shop Settings to fill in your shop’s identity and defaults. This takes only a few minutes and makes everything else in the app work correctly right from the start.
Business Info
Enter your shop’s business name, mailing address, public phone number, and email. These appear on customer-facing material — invoices, estimates, and the customer payment page. You can also add your website URL if you have one. The public email and phone can differ from your personal login email so customers see a general shop address, not your personal inbox.
Default Tax Rate
Set the tax percentage you charge on repairs. Every new Repair Order will pre-fill with this rate so your team does not have to type it each time. You can always override it on an individual order if needed.
Default Labor Rate
Set your shop’s standard hourly labor rate. New labor lines on a Repair Order will start at this rate. Labor presets that do not have their own rate set will also use this value, so changing it here updates all of those presets automatically.
What to Do Next
Once your shop info and defaults are saved, you are ready to start adding customers and vehicles. If you have a team, create their logins next under Account Settings → Team Logins — see the Staff & Roles page in this manual for step-by-step instructions. If you are working alone, jump straight to the Customers section.
