Attendance
What Attendance Tracks
The Attendance module is a shift-level punch clock — it answers the question “was this person at work today, and for how long?” This is separate from job-level Time Tracking (which logs time on specific Repair Orders) and separate from billed hours on a labor line. All three numbers are tracked independently and can legitimately differ.
Clocking In and Out
Go to Attendance → Clock. There are two modes depending on how your shop is set up:
Self-Clock (Individual Login)
If an employee has their own team login linked to their Employee record, they see only their own status and a single Clock In or Clock Out button. No one else can punch in for them — their identity is verified by the fact that they are logged in as themselves.
Shared Kiosk
For shops with a shared front-desk terminal, an owner or manager opens the Clock page and sees a button to clock any employee in or out. Selecting the employee and confirming takes two steps to prevent accidental punches.
When clocking out, you are asked for a break duration in minutes (default zero). Only one open shift per employee can exist at a time.
Timesheet — Manager Corrections
Go to Attendance → Timesheet to view all punches across all employees for any date range, with worked-hours totals. Managers with Attendance edit access can add, edit, or delete entries here — for fixing a forgotten clock-out, entering a no-show after the fact, or backfilling a day someone forgot to punch in. Both start and end times are required for any manual entry.
Attendance Hours Report
The Attendance Hours report under Reports totals shift hours per employee for a date range, net of breaks. This is the number your payroll process cares about. It is separate from the Tracked Time report (job-level clocked hours) and from Flag Hours (flat-rate billed hours).
